Summer 2011 - Six night Mountain Package
This trip is for those with little or no camping experience. You’d like to try camping but you don’t have the equipment, you’re not sure where to go, what to eat, and perhaps you’re not too comfortable in the wilderness. Your knowledgeable guides, the b&b owners, are avid outdoors people with extensive camping and backcountry experience. They will share their stories and teach you about wilderness camping, equipment, camping meals, wildlife encounters, dealing with weather, etc., with a goal of not only giving you a “taste” of camping, but of providing the knowledge and comfort level to tackle camping on your own. We provide all meals while camping and camping equipment and will even set-up your tent, though participant involvement is fun and encouraged.
Begin your trip with a two night stay at Teton View Bed & Breakfast offering comfortable accommodations, delicious, full breakfasts and the “friendliest” mountain hospitality. You’ll explore Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park during the days on your own.
After breakfast on the second morning we’ll have a brief orientation meeting then drive an hour to a beautiful, rustic (no showers, pit toilets) campground where we’ll set-up camp, have lunch and explore the area. You are likely to see moose, deer and squirrels in this area and perhaps more wildlife! Roast marshmallows under a star-studded sky and join in on a few campfire songs.
You’ll return to Teton View Bed & Breakfast for 2 more days and nights to explore more of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park.
Costs per person vary due to bed and breakfast accommodations and the number of participants and range from $599 – $958 per person not including taxes.
